Holy Cow It's Raining!

Am I here or not?

And I don’t know the answer to that.  The past month and a half has been somewhat tumultuous - doing this and doing that - feeling this and feeling that - that whole “life is like a box of chocolates” sort of thing.  But, today is a good day.  It is raining!  I can stay inside and feel no guilt.  We’ve been trying to clear our property so we can fence the entire thing as well as put in an arena (uncovered) so I have a place to give riding lessons and practice barrel racing without having to trailer my horse 30 miles.

imageOh - I nearly forgot!  Abby had her BABY!  Meet Socks everyone.  Here she is only a few hours old.  We weren’t expecting her until mid-June!  You can imagine our surprise when we walked out Monday morning only to find a fresh little squirt running around!  For those of you selling a pregnant horse, please tell the new owners the right breeding dates - sheesh!  Nevertheless, Socks is the most precious little tyke ever!  I am excited to report that she should mature at a glorious stature of 15.3 Hands with a nice thick build.  She is grey now, but after she molts, she will turn jet black with two white socks on the back end and of course a big white blaze down her nose.  I couldn’t have asked for prettier markings.

Socks os gorgeous!  I bet that was quite the exciting surprise when you walked out and found her frollicking.

You must have gotten the same rain we got yesterday, 150 miles east of you.  I love storms, but they don’t seem to happen as often here as they did back home.

"It is raining!  I can stay inside and feel no guilt”

See, I know exactly what you mean.  People don’t understand why I sometimes NEED it to rain.
